Bikuben is our student driven journal! As a student, you do a lot of cool stuff, and write a lot of text that are interesting for others to read. So if you have a texts you wrote from a biology reletated projects, you can send it in, get it reviewed and published in our journal! Its also possible to contribute as a peer-reviewer or illustrator.

On RClub, students at bio can get help with their R-coding and statistical analysis. The club is every Friday at 14 (2pm) in the lunch room in 4th floor in the BIO, A-building (Tunet)

Here you will find short tutorial videoes on concepts or relevant skills that are biology related. Here you can find videoes on how to use a microscope, how to desiccate or other practical skills in the field of biology and molecular biology.

Working in R is a digital workbook that gives thorough introduction in how to use R and R Studio. You will find tutorials on how to import, treat and visualize data in R.

bioHIVE

bioHIVE is the group name used for the students working at bioCEED. This work includes working as research technicians and more. The student works as partners with the rest of bioCEED and are included in operation and development. As a student working at bioCEED, you get to be part of something big and important, strengthening student involments and academic research at BIO.

bioSTATS

bioSTATS is a site where you can find help and guidence on data management and statistic specially targeted towards students at BIO. This covers Excel, R and basic statistical concepts. bioSTATs also includes the working-book "Working in R", where you will find help on how to use Git and Github in R Studio, how to write reusable documents in Quarto, how to creade your own R-package and how to choose the correct plot and statistical model. It also covers some course-specific resources for; AB-202, AB-204, BIO101, BIO104, BIO241 og BIO325. bioSTATS is adapted for all levels, from bachelor to PhD.

SCOPE (student led conference on polar environment) is a student driven interdiscpilinary conference where all bachelor-, master- og Ph.d. - students on UNIS can present their research work. The conference is a two days event in the automn semester, and as a student, you can contribute with presentations, be a participant or help with practical work.
